When a public servant has neglected his/her duty or violated the law, and deems it necessary to suspend his/her duty or take immediate action, a Control Yuan member may file a written censure against him/her. If the censure is reviewed and approved by no less than 3 other members, the Control Yuan shall forward the written censure to the superior in charge of the public servant. The superior shall take appropriate action in accordance with the Public Functionaries Discipline Act. within 1 month, for instance, suspend the duty of the censured person or take other immediate actions.
