President Wang Chien-shien of the Control Yuan met generals of the National Development Course (NDC) on October 14, 2009. The Course of the Ministry of National Defense included 21 Generals who came from Central and South America. They exchanged opinions about the ombudsman system of the East and West in a friendly atmosphere. The main purpose of this visit was to understand our constitution system as well as the functions and powers of the Control Yuan. President Wang quoted the Chinese old saying “What a delight to meet friends from afar!” In the atmosphere of warm welcome, the Control Yuan wished them have a wonderful trip in Taiwan and hoped them share nice memory about Taiwan with family in their hometown. President Wang also indicated that the NDC’s visiting has great opportunity to understand the unique functions and powers of the Control Yuan. After the visiting, the generals of the NDC and President Wang took a picture to mark the occasion.
