Members of the Control Yuan Dr. Louis Chao, Dr. Shen-yi Lee, Ms. Yi-kung Ma, Mr. Jiann-nan Liao and its Secretary General Shan-liang Tu left for Panama to attend the 8th Annual Congress of Iberoamerican Federation of Ombudsman from November 15 to 27, 2003. This is the fourth time the Control Yuan, with an Observation Membership, to participate the congress. In the congress, they exchanged ideas aiming at ombudsman system with other ombudsmen from all over the Latin America. On the evening of 21, all participants enjoyed the farewell party, held jointly by the Control Yuan Members and the Panamanian Ombudsman Mr. Tejada Espino. During this trip, the Control Yuan Members also met with the First Vice President of the Republic of Panama Mr. Arturo Vallarino, President of General Assembly Mr. Lic Jacobo Salsas, Minister of General Audit Office Mr. Alvin Weeden Bamboa, and visited the Embassy of the Republic of China in Panama and the Unigreen Marine S. A.
