01. What are the differences among the powers of impeachment, censure, and corrective measures?

1.Causes

Violation of law or neglect of duties by public functionaries

Violation of law or neglect of duties by public functionaries that constitutes grounds for removal from managerial positions

Maladministration or neglect of its duty in the Executive branch.

2.Objects

Central and local public functionaries of all levels

The Executive Yuan and its subordinate organs.

3.Review and Approval

An impeachment case should be proposed by at least 2 members. Once the case is approved by no less than 9 other members, it will be sent to the Disciplinary Court.

A censure case should be proposed by at least one member and if the case is approved by more than 3 other members, it shall be sent to the superior of the censured person.

A case shall be reviewed and approved by a relevant committee meeting of the Control Yuan.

1. Removing from office

3. Deprivation or reduction pension

6. Salary cut

8. Demerit
9. Admonition

Removal from the managerial position.

The executive agencies concerned shall make improvement or take other immediate actions.

5.Criminal involvement

If the public functionary has violated the Criminal Code, the case shall also be sent to a law court for action.
